After an extended building stretch due to the refurbishing of the Berlin subway lines, the legendary currywurst stall opened shop again at its oringal spot under the elevated rail lines. The stall may be new but they still serve their other classics like bockwurst, knackwurst and the Berlin Bulette, a type of burger.

Konnopke’s Imbiss has a history of 80 years which goes back to a certain Max Konnopke who started a snack stall selling sausage in Berlin in 1930. Local lore has it that Konnopke was the first snack stall to start selling currywurst in East-Berlin in the 1960s. No matter how you see it: it’s a legendary snack stall about whose ongoing business we can be happy.
