A special evening needs more than good food, it needs the right overall feeling. For this list I visited Berlin's upscale restaurants and paid attention to what really carries an occasion: the craftsmanship precision on the plate, the quality and origin of the produce, a service that is attentive without being intrusive, an atmosphere for good conversation and that feeling of spending the evening at exactly the right address.
The Kitchen Library in Berlin-Charlottenburg serves 5-, 6- or 7-course menus. Owners Udo and Daniela Knörlein value regional products, precise craftsmanship, and warm hospitality. Guests dine surrounded by over 1000 cookbooks and collector's items, enjoying a particularly personal and intimate atmosphere.
