For this list I looked for houses with a stately flair that at the same time offer a genuine wellness area or a spa. Historic charm, a quiet setting in the greenery and a tangible sense of the special mattered to me. I put together castles and manor houses in which culture, relaxation and romance come together for a stylish time out.
The stylishly renovated castle hotel Kartzow is beautifully situated in the immediate vicinity of the Döberitzer Heide, a nature reserve in Brandenburg. A private eight-hectare landscaped park and a beautiful spa area provide relaxation and recreation.
The hotel Seeschlösschen next to the Senftenberger Lake looks like it was taken from a fairytale. It is the perfect spot for a romantic weekend trip.
