For this list I looked for houses with a stately flair that at the same time offer a genuine wellness area or a spa. Historic charm, a quiet setting in the greenery and a tangible sense of the special mattered to me. I put together castles and manor houses in which culture, relaxation and romance come together for a stylish time out.
Northwest of Potsdam, directly adjacent to the Döberitzer Heide, Schlosshotel Kartzow clearly demonstrates that Brandenburg castle romance and contemporary wellness comfort are not contradictions.
