For this list I looked for the best cocktail bars with a happy hour, so that good taste doesn't founder on the price. What mattered to me were carefully mixed drinks, a lovely atmosphere and, of course, the right time slot for the affordable cocktail. Whether refined or laid-back, the evening can begin enjoyably here.
Since 2001, Victoria Bar on Potsdamer Straße in Tiergarten has been mixing cocktails at the high level for which bar manager Stefan Weber was named Bartender of the Year in its opening year. Hand-painted wallpaper, green leather, and a very long bar define the space, and the menu features around 200 items. During Happy Hour, every cocktail here costs 11.50 Euros.
X Bar Berlin on Helmholtzplatz in Prenzlauer Berg has stood for seriously good cocktail culture since 1995: over 300 drinks on the menu, signature creations unavailable elsewhere, and an atmosphere that still views bar culture as a craft.

Limonadier in Chamissokiez produces its own syrups, liqueurs, and infusions, and serves its own Bergmann Gin, matured in a Bourbon barrel with red vermouth. The menu features eighteen cocktails, thirteen gins, and seventeen whiskies. During Happy Hour, asterisked drinks cost 10.90 Euros.
ZU SPÄTI?!-Molotow Cocktail on Oranienstraße in Kreuzberg is a Späti (late-night shop) and cocktail bar in one: in the front, there's a self-service refrigerator, in the back, a neon-lit bar where cocktails are mixed. You can order drinks to enjoy on-site or to take away. Happy Hour makes the house drink Molotow Cocktail the cheapest way to start the evening.
The CoooL Music Bar on Ansbacher Straße at Wittenbergplatz lets guests choose the music instead of a predefined playlist. During the day there's coffee, in the evening drinks, plus Jenga, chess, and backgammon at the table, and later a DJ and dance floor. During Happy Hour, Aperol Spritz, Mojito, and Caipirinha each cost 7.50 Euros.
Located on Maaßenstraße, NachBAR has been serving drinks between Nollendorfplatz and Winterfeldtplatz since 1994, offering over 100 cocktails, from classics with freshly squeezed juices to the 'Hexerei' (Witchcraft) section. On Fridays and Saturdays, themed nights with DJs are added. During Happy Hour, selected cocktails cost 7.90 Euros, plus a changing cocktail of the day.
The Wohnzimmer Bar on Lettestraße north of Helmholtzplatz is furnished with sofas and flea market furniture, and not without reason is it called that. During the day it operates as a café, known in the neighborhood for its latte, and in the evening as a bar with sours, fizzes, and frozen daiquiris. During happy hour, every cocktail costs 8 euros.
The 11n Lounge on Grünberger Straße features two separately designed bars and a shisha offering that ranges from hookah selection to tobacco consultation. The space is decorated in white and cream tones, and on weekends DJs play everything from dance classics to club sounds. Happy hour starts in the early evening, before the Simon-Dach-Kiez gets crowded.
The Carambar is located directly at Alexanderplatz with a large glass facade and spans three floors, serving as a restaurant during the day and a party lounge in the evening. The menu features around 90 cocktails. Happy Hour runs daily and has its own price column on the menu; Classic Cocktails then cost 8.50 instead of 10.00 Euros.
The Cocktail Bar Zeitlos on the western Kurfürstendamm has been serving drinks since 1999 and was completely redesigned in 2023: gold laminate on the ceiling, marble tables, candlelight. Over 90 cocktails are on the menu, including the Cocktail Zeitlos, which the bartender chooses personally. More than fifty of them are available during Happy Hour, where two cost 13.50 Euros.
