When the weather does not cooperate or you want to get everything done under one roof, Berlin's shopping centres offer plenty of choice. Mall of Berlin on Leipziger Platz stands out as a generous shopping quarter in the heart of the city. The concept mall Bikini Berlin at the Zoo in Tiergarten focuses on boutiques, concept and flagship stores and lovely dining. ALEXA on Alexanderplatz brings around 180 shops together under one roof. And the Gropius Passagen in Neukolln, with 85,000 square meters of retail space, are the largest shopping centre in Berlin. In addition, there are Boulevard Berlin and Das Schloss in Steglitz, the Spandau Arcaden and the Forum Kopenick. I chose the shopping centres based on their offering, their location and their ambiance. It was important to me that the mix of shops is right and that a centre offers more than just retail space, whether through architecture, dining or special concept stores. I paid attention to variety, accessibility and the shopping experience that makes a visit worthwhile.

With 180 individual stores the ALEXA offers the greatest shopping variety in Berlin! Next to special fashion-brands like Bench, Billabong, VILA or 1982 (only 3 times in Berlin) there are also exclusive shops for cosmetic products by Grüne Erde or Rituals Cosmetics.
