Berlin is far more than a techno city. For rap, RnB and Afrobeats the capital has its own venues with regular nights. House of Weekend plays on the 15th floor of the former Haus des Reisens in Mitte, Gretchen in Kreuzberg runs two floors inside the listed Dragoon stables from 1854, and up in Wedding, Panke Culture keeps a club, a bar and a garden in the courtyard of an old factory site. Concert venues such as Hole44 in Neukölln round things off, with German rap names on stage on a regular basis.

I dance best where the bass sits deep and the beat does not let up. At House of Weekend I partied to hip-hop above the rooftops, at Bricks near Gendarmenmarkt until morning. For this list I danced my way right across Berlin hip-hop clubs, from the City West out to Neukölln.
The House of Weekend is located on the 15th floor of the former Haus des Reisens directly at Alexanderplatz, with the rooftop terrace adding to it at a height of 83 meters. Celebrations feature Hip-Hop, R&B, Afrobeats, and Latin, for example at the School of Hip Hop or the Latin Fiesta. Among the Hip-Hop clubs in Berlin Mitte, it is the only one with a view of the TV Tower.
Panke Culture is one of the hip-hop venues in Wedding that doesn't look like a club from the outside. The association is located in Courtyard V of an old factory site directly on the Panke river. The club room accommodates around 300 guests, complemented by a bar, the in-house gallery, and a garden by the water. Musically, the program ranges from Early Reggae to HipHop, Dub, and Bass music.
Bricks Club Berlin is located in the basement vaults under the Hilton at Gendarmenmarkt, designed by architect firm karhard. On Fridays, the in-house series Any Given Friday runs, on Saturdays, series like I Love Hip Hop with Trap, Dancehall, and Afrobeats. Over 400 speakers are embedded in the bass ceiling, which sets this venue apart among hip-hop clubs in Mitte.
The hip-hop club in Kreuzberg is located in the listed stables of the Prussian Dragoon Guards Regiment from 1854, under vaulted ceilings and cast-iron columns. On the two floors, Box1 and Box2, the Afro Haus series features Afrobeats, Amapiano, and Dancehall. Gretchen has received the APPLAUS award five times for its live music program.
Cassiopeia has been located on the RAW grounds in Friedrichshain since 2005, accommodates 728 guests, and operates up to three floors. Tuesdays feature Super Tuesday with 80s, Disco, and Hip-Hop, while Saturdays host Bambule BLN with Pop and House. Among the city's hip-hop clubs, it's the one with its own summer garden and food truck.
Hole44 is one of the few hip-hop clubs in Neukölln that brings rap to the stage in a big way. The venue is located in the former Globus cinema on Hermannstraße, where today German rap artists like Veysel and Pa Sports perform, along with Neo-Soul and RnB. The focus is on live concerts rather than a weekly party series.
The Maxxim on Joachimsthaler Straße has been the most consistent Ku'damm disco since 2007 and one of the few hip-hop clubs in Charlottenburg with a program seven nights a week. Wednesdays feature Queens Night with hip-hop, R&B, soul, and Afrohouse, while Sundays are taken over by the Sunday Club. Four bars and VIP lounges are distributed around the dance floor.

The Badehaus on the RAW grounds was once the real bathhouse for railway workers at the repair yard. Today, operations are spread across the main floor with a stage, the sauna floor in the old bathing room, and a terrace with its own bar. Between rap concerts and golden-era dancehall, the venue's musical range is broader than most hip-hop clubs in Friedrichshain.
The Columbiahalle on Columbiadamm is the largest rap stage in southern Berlin and is located opposite the former Tempelhof Airport. Recently, badmómzjay, Apsilon, Fatoni, and Ebow were on the schedule, with several evenings sold out. The format here is concerts, not weekly club nights, so the names are correspondingly big.
The Soda Club Berlin has been located in the Kulturbrauerei since 1999 and spans five floors, from the Classics Floor to the Red Bull Lounge and the Rooftop. On Saturdays, Sodalicious runs with over ten DJs, Fridays feature the Famous Friday with RnB and Urban Dance. Among the hip-hop clubs in Prenzlauer Berg, this is the largest address.
