From Korean barbecue to Vietnamese street food to Chinese duck: hardly any city offers such a broad spectrum of Asian cuisine as Berlin. That is exactly what makes the choice both exciting and difficult. At the iconic Kimchi Princess in Kreuzberg the meat sizzles right at the table, while Kochu Karu in Prenzlauer Berg combines Korean cuisine with Spanish tapas and even earned a Bib Gourmand from the Guide Michelin for it. On Rosenthaler Strasse, District Mot serves a Berlin interpretation of Saigon street food. We ate our way across the regions, from fine fusion to honest noodle soup, and paid attention to authenticity and signature. The result is our Top 10 of the best Asian restaurants in Berlin. Which cuisine draws you in the most?

Asian is a wide field, so when testing I look less at a pigeonhole than at the kitchen's signature. Is someone cooking here with a clear origin and their own ideas, or is a standard assortment simply being reeled off? I am won over by fresh ingredients, bold seasoning and dishes that have character even beyond the classics. And I like places where you can tell the kitchen is proud of its roots. Those are exactly the addresses I looked for.

Asian Fusion meets Vietnamese soul: TAT Restaurant in Friedrichshain combines fresh sushi, aromatic noodle soups, and Southeast Asian cuisine under one roof. If you're looking for an honest, flavorful address in Berlin, this is the right place.

Behind a graffiti-covered facade in Charlottenburg lies one of Berlin's best Asian restaurants: 893 Ryōtei on Kantstraße combines Michelin-level Japanese cuisine with the charm of an Izakaya, turning sushi, sashimi, and creative fusion dishes into a true evening experience.

Japanese cuisine in all its breadth, served in the cozy Kollwitzkiez in Prenzlauer Berg: Chotto unites ramen, sushi, udon, and Izakaya bites under one roof, complemented by an interior made from recycled furniture that has as much character as the cuisine itself.

UMAMI originated in Prenzlauer Berg, but its Asian fusion cuisine has long since established itself at several locations throughout the city. Southeast Asian flavors meet European influences, the interior evokes 1950s Indochina - and the menu offers a solution for every appetite.

Korean BBQ, fermented kimchi, and an atmosphere that reflects Kreuzberg at its most vibrant: Kimchi Princess on Skalitzer Straße has been one of Berlin's most renowned Asian restaurants for over 15 years, attracting guests from all over the world to its long wooden tables.

Copenhagen meets Japanese cuisine on Potsdamer Straße in Mitte: Sticks'n'Sushi combines imperial sushi tradition with yakitori skewers from Japanese street food - all in an interior as thoughtfully designed as the menu itself.

Located between Winsviertel and Kollwitzkiez, in the heart of Prenzlauer Berg, A-Petit serves Asian cuisine with a true sense of lightness: fusion sushi, Vietnamese classics, and Asian tapas in a charming restaurant with vintage appeal and an outdoor terrace.

Located on Charlottenburg's Kantstraße, just a few steps from Kurfürstendamm, Good Friends has been the benchmark for Cantonese cuisine in Berlin since 1993. Authentic, straightforward, and city-renowned - not least because Michelin-starred chef Tim Raue is a regular guest here.

Hidden in the courtyard between Uhlandstraße and Lietzenburger Straße, right by the Ku'damm in Charlottenburg, ZEN Restaurant is a tranquil address for upscale Asian dining. Vietnamese cuisine meets Japanese sushi art here, served in a stylish ambiance with an open show kitchen.

Located in Berlin-Mitte, on Rosenthaler Straße, Đistrict Một transports guests directly to the street kitchens of Saigon. Colorful plastic stools, neon signs, and the aroma of Pho and Bun Cha make this Vietnamese restaurant one of the most authentic addresses in the city.
