Around 70 kilometers west of Berlin, 2Wave uses its own surf cutter to generate the wave surfed here, almost 300 meters long in one stretch and lasting up to three hours over half a day. Additionally, there's foilsurfing and foil pumping via a self-built island with six launch ramps. For water sports around Berlin, this is the most unusual spot in the surrounding area.

The StandUpClub Berlin SUP rental is located on the grounds of Funkhaus Berlin in Oberschöneweide, where the East German Broadcasting used to have its studios. From the pier, you can paddle along the Spree past Plänterwald towards Treptower Park, Molecule Man, and Oberbaumbrücke. In addition to rentals for ages 16 and up, there are beginner courses, guided city tours, and SUP yoga on the board.

The cable car at Wasserskipark Zossen is 540 meters long, runs over five masts, and pulls riders with seven carriers over the water, including obstacles and kickers. Beginners start on the 150-meter-long practice lift, where only one person starts at a time. Vest, twin skis, and kneeboard are included in the ticket; the adult day pass costs 58 Euros.

At the Nixe Marina on Königstraße, a hydrofoil lifts the electric surfboard out of the Großer Wannsee, allowing you to fly over the water without wind or waves. Training is conducted on premium boards with jet propulsion; the beginner's course lasts 120 minutes and costs 249 Euros. For water sports in Berlin, this is the most unusual way to get on the water.

At Rummelsburger Bucht, instead of a rental station, there's a solar-powered vending machine with lockers: book online, open the locker with a code, take out a board or kayak, and start paddling. Paddles and a dry bag are included, with prices starting from 14.99 Euros. For spontaneous water sports in Berlin, Heiuki is the most straightforward address in the city.

The Spree section near Hangelsberg is closed to boats with internal combustion engines, which is why paddling at Kanusport Spree is as quiet as almost nowhere else in the Berlin area. Over 80 boats are available for rent, from beginner kayaks to five-person canoes, plus one-way tours with boat transport to Erkner. The RE 1 takes about 40 minutes from Berlin-Mitte to get directly there.

ActionSport Tiefenrausch has been training divers according to SSI and PADI standards at Bundesallee in Wilmersdorf since 1995 and is known beyond the city limits for underwater photography and dry suits. Training takes place year-round in the in-house pool in Kreuzberg; an introductory dive lasts two hours and costs 89 Euros. The workshop and filling station are located in the same building.

At the Abteibrücke in Treptower Park, right next to the bridge to the Island of Youth, Rent-a-Boat has 38 pedal boats, as well as rowing boats and kayaks at the pier. Reservations are generally not accepted, payment is cash only, and dogs are allowed on board. A pedal boat for four people costs 23 Euros for the first hour, a rowing boat 15 Euros.

Located at Stößensee in Spandau, the Weber Sailing School's watersports center features a yacht harbor, a private houseboat, and a sailing restaurant. Because the lake is sheltered, there's hardly any choppiness, which makes initial practical lessons easier. Training has been provided here since 1989, ranging from inland boating licenses to offshore sailing licenses, with a maximum of three people on board.

At Seebad Friedrichshagen, the rafts from Floß und Los for six to twenty people are located on the Großer Müggelsee, ranging from the Explorer Raft with cabin and sun deck to the nine-meter-long City Raft. Almost all can be driven without a license, a round trip around the Müggelberge takes about four to six hours. A grill, camping toilet, and dishes can be booked additionally.
