Monster Ronson's Ichiban Karaoke on Warschauer Strasse in Friedrichshain has been an institution for years, with fourteen private booths and a large open stage. Things are far quieter and more private at Cheers KTV Bar in Charlottenburg, where four air-conditioned VIP rooms in the Asian KTV style let a whole group keep to itself. And at SORI KONO in Schoeneberg, singing happens inside four soundproofed booths, following the South Korean noraebang tradition and without any strangers watching. Big stage or closed booth, seasoned performer or shower singer: everyone gets the microphone here. For this list I searched out the most fun karaoke spots in the city, from the big stage to the private box. What mattered to me was that the mood is exuberant and that truly everyone gets to take the mic, no matter how well the notes land. Whether with friends or on your own, the evening is guaranteed to be unforgettable here.
Right by Warschauer Straße station lies the city's most famous karaoke bar. Behind the illuminated sign, an open stage and fourteen private booths for four to sixteen people await, along with drag and dance shows and unique formats like Boxhopping. The small booth costs 20 Euros per hour, admission from 21 years with ID.
Wilmersdorfer Strasse holds the best rated karaoke address in the city, and it works as a classic KTV with private rooms instead of an open stage. Four air-conditioned VIP rooms take groups of six to twenty-five people, with large screens, microphones and their own table service. Booking runs simply and quickly through WhatsApp.
In Leibnizstraße, seven private themed rooms from Rome to Tokyo are available, along with a public party room with a stage and no minimum order value. The catalog includes over 52,000 songs in eight languages. The small rooms for up to eight people cost 14 Euros per hour, the largest for up to thirty guests 22 Euros per hour.
The stone amphitheatre in Mauerpark holds the best known open-air stage in the city. Anyone who wants to can step into the ring and sing in front of several hundred to well over a thousand people, with no entry fee and no sign-up. Joe Hatchiban has been bringing the sound system along by bicycle since 2009 and traditionally takes the final song himself.
Located on Dominicusstraße in Schöneberg, a Korean Noraebang offers four soundproof booths for two to eight people. Singing takes place in a private room rather than in front of an audience, with a catalog ranging from K-Pop to German and international classics. The smallest booth costs 20 Euros per hour, booked in fixed time slots.
Opposite SchwuZ on Mehringdamm, there's a queer show and drag bar where karaoke runs as its own show format. Everyone can perform on the small stage in the middle of the room, accompanied by drag shows and its own song contest. Draught beer costs 4.60 Euros, and since 2024, payments are exclusively by card, no longer cash.
Located in a former chocolate factory on Ackerstraße, it is one of Mitte's last occupied cultural centers, and its karaoke series has long been legendary. Singing takes place on the in-house stage, which the venue itself considers one of the city's most beautiful, hosted by KJ Der Käpt'n with his own song catalog. Admission from sixteen years.
On Flughafenstraße in Neukölln, there is a dark rock bar with red velvet, spotlights, and a single stage. There are no private booths, but there is a microphone and an audience that always sings along. Additionally, there is an outdoor area and the option to host private parties. Contactless payment, Mastercard, and Visa are accepted, and Wi-Fi is free.
A variety bar is located directly below the TV Tower at Alexanderplatz, featuring karaoke with a DJ on a shared stage, with a catalog of over 50,000 titles. Additionally, there are variety shows with acrobatics and aerial stunts, hearty Berlin cuisine, and over 150 different cocktails. The house cocktail costs 12.90 Euros, and a standard ticket for the show is 15 Euros.
Located at Rosenthaler Platz, there's a hostel with its own brewery in the basement, where the in-house bar also hosts karaoke with a DJ. Singing takes place on an open stage without private booths, with a repertoire ranging from 70s hits to today's music. The basement also features a small collection about David Hasselhoff and his connection to Berlin.
