For me, a good ice cream cafe is measured not only by the ice cream but by the whole afternoon. For this list I tried my way through sundaes and terraces and paid attention to what counts: creamy ice cream made in house, fresh fruit instead of canned, a spot in the sun where you like to linger, and service that stays friendly even when the place is full.
