For this list I ate my way through the city's upscale addresses and paid attention to what makes the difference: the quality of the ingredients, truly homemade pasta with bite, a wine list with a real Italian heart, attentive service without stiffness and that unruffled confidence that good cuisine simply has.
In a quiet side street between Unter den Linden and the Spree lies one of the most discreet addresses for upscale Italian cuisine in Berlin. Since 2005, Il Punto has combined classic Mediterranean cuisine with genuine hospitality, attracting politicians and pleasure-seekers alike to its tables.
Located on Walter-Benjamin-Platz in Charlottenburg, not far from Kurfürstendamm, Enoiteca Il Calice has been combining fine dining with one of Berlin's most curated wine selections for over three decades.
