For me, an upscale waterfront restaurant has to do more than just have a pretty terrace. I paid attention to whether the view really reaches your table or only works from the bar, whether the kitchen holds up to the ambiance and whether the fish is actually fresh. Service that stays attentive also mattered to me, and seats where you want to sit the whole evening.
The Rivo Spreeterrassen in Kreuzberg are undoubtedly among the trendiest waterfront restaurants. Guests enjoy excellent fish and seafood directly on the May Ayim Embankment.
