In the Volkspark Friedrichshain, cosy spots await by the shore, on the Pfaueninsel at the Wannsee you picnic among peacocks and water buffalo, and the Koernerpark in Neukoelln is among the most beautiful garden grounds in the city. I do not need much for a good picnic, just a blanket, a little sun and the right spot. While researching this list, I discovered quiet shores and secret gardens that I had not known before.
