I love the Berlin Christmas season, and with more than 170 markets the choice is really hard. That is why I ate and drank my way through the stalls, from the baroque splendour at Schloss Charlottenburg to the Nordic Lucia market. Here are my ten favourites for cosy hours with mulled wine and glittering lights.
From November 24th to December 28th, 2025, the Christmas market at Charlottenburg Palace brings festive lights and a nostalgic ambiance to the baroque palace backdrop. Nestled in historic park grounds, this Christmas market is an atmospheric place with handicrafts, culinary delights, and traditional attractions.
From November 24 to December 31, 2025, the historic Gendarmenmarkt transforms into a festive place full of art, culinary delights, and lively entertainment with its 'WeihnachtsZauber' Christmas market.
