In the Berlin summer, nightlife moves outdoors. Under the open sky, often right by the water, open-air clubs party on into the next day. The ELSE Open Air Club in Treptow combines partying with relaxed sitting together over beer and pretzels, while the Sisyphos at Rummelsburger Bucht lets its guests celebrate to electronic music for days on end. At the Club der Visionäre, the party crowd spreads out across wooden terraces under colorful strings of lights, and the Birgit und Bier at Schleusenufer brings beer garden and club together in a fairground atmosphere all its own. I party best where the sky is the ceiling. At the Sisyphos I lost track of time, at the Club der Visionäre I sat by the water under strings of lights. For this list I spent a whole summer out under the open sky. These ten open-air spots are my Berlin favorites.
