Known for its award-winning Wiener Schnitzel, Restaurant Jolesch in Berlin-Kreuzberg offers a menu that represents Austrian cuisine in all its diversity. From Tafelspitzbouillon to a vegan cream of potato soup and braised eggplant fillet – the selection is varied and also caters to vegetarians and vegans. Vegan and gluten-free schnitzel prove that classic dishes can be interpreted in a contemporary and conscious way without losing touch with tradition.

Head chef Tobias Janzen is a master at combining the diversity of Austrian cuisine with regional and seasonal products, thus building a culinary bridge between the Alps and the big city. Every dish tells a story, be it the Viennese juice goulash served with spaetzle and sour cream, or the tender Gordon bleu of apple pork, which hits new flavor notes with Ross cheese. Particularly noteworthy is the original Vulcano ham, which brings the spirit of Austrian tavern culture to Berlin. Not to be forgotten are the desserts, above all the Viennese apple strudel or the Styrian crème brulée, which round off the menu with pumpkin seed brittle and pumpkin seed oil ice cream.

For those who enjoy a good glass of wine, there is an excellent selection of wines from the restaurant’s own wine store. With almost 400 Austrian wines, the Jolesch offers the most extensive menu outside of Austria.
