The Winter Raft from Hauptstadtfloß GmbH operates from early November to late February, turning your Christmas party into a cruise on the Spree. Boarding takes place at Oberbaumbrücke or Treptower Park, from there it goes upstream to Schillingbrücke in Mitte and back again. Other boarding points are possible for an additional charge. If too much ice forms in January or February, the raft remains at the pier and the celebration takes place there.

On board, there’s little sense of the river and much of a cozy cabin: an electric fireplace and heating maintain around 25 degrees Celsius, furs are on all seats, along with warm blankets. There is a bar with a counter and bar stools, a lounge area, four rustic seating areas, and four large tables for six to eight people each, plus two bathrooms and an upper deck. The sound system with jack connection is free of charge, and the captain, boatman, and service are included in the price.

The minimum rental period is three hours, with three to five hours being common. The Winter Raft costs from 1,800 Euros net for three hours, with each additional hour costing 250 Euros.

Catering comes from Spreeküche. The winter buffets start at 29.90 Euros net per person and bring dishes such as duck leg with red cabbage and dumplings or venison goulash with red cabbage and dumplings on board; vegetarian and vegan options are available. Drinks are charged as a flat rate per hour, from minimum consumption to an all-inclusive option. Children up to six years travel free, and from seven to twelve years they pay half price. Payments on board can be made with EC and credit cards.
