Since 1994, Brauhaus Spandau has been brewing its unfiltered Havelbräu in the historic brick building on Kolk, complemented by a rotating special beer each month. Among Berlin's breweries, this is the location with the largest open-air space.

Hardly any brewpub in Berlin is as central: Hopfingerbräu is located in the Palais am Pariser Platz, less than a hundred meters from the Brandenburg Gate. The Zenner Beer and Wine Garden in Alt-Treptow is one of Berlin's oldest and largest beer gardens, located directly on the Spree River in Treptower Park. Classic beer garden culture meets a contemporary drink and food menu here, with views of the Island of Youth.

In Tiergarten, right by the water: The Café am Neuen See is one of Berlin's most famous excursion destinations. Beer garden, restaurant, and boat rental are located here under old trees, and it's open all year round.

The Celtic Cottage in Steglitz opened in 1979 and is one of Germany's oldest Irish pubs: nine draft beers, around seventy whisky varieties, steel darts, and a heated terrace with over sixty seats.
