Schlosscafé Köpenick is located on the Palace Island, surrounded by the waters of the Dahme and a late 17th-century Baroque garden. The palace itself now houses a branch of the Museum of Decorative Arts of the State Museums of Berlin, and next door is the palace church with its historic organ. Those arriving for a Christmas party first cross the bridge to the island before the evening even begins. This kind of prelude can hardly be offered by any restaurant in the city center.

Inside, a ballroom with large glass doors facing the water and high windows overlooking the park awaits, complemented by a terrace directly on the Dahme. The interior is air-conditioned, with views to the outside from all directions. For winter, the venue expects up to 80 guests; in summer, up to 120. For conferences and seminars, the area is exclusively available for up to 65 people. The café is operated by Schlosscafé GmbH, which is also responsible for the museum’s gastronomy in the palace, and the palace church can be visited by arrangement.

Christmas Menu, Buffet, and Organ Concert at Schlosscafé Köpenick

The Christmas Special includes a welcome punch by the Christmas tree, a three-course menu, a four-hour beverage package with wine, beer, hot and non-alcoholic drinks, and festive Christmas decorations. For groups of 30 people or more, it costs 73.50 Euros per person; for groups of 15 people or more, it is 75.00 Euros. The menu begins with a wild mushroom cream soup with cranberry cream, followed by a choice of duck leg on red cabbage with Burgundy sauce or pan-fried guinea fowl breast with cassis sauce as the main course, and finishes with chocolate-marzipan ice cream with rum fruits and cinnamon cream.

Those who prefer a buffet can choose between two compositions. They range from wild salmon variations and terrines to young duck with spiced red cabbage and dumplings, up to Brandenburg venison with root vegetables and Schupfnudeln; the second option adds sturgeon with caviar and goose carpaccio with truffle vinaigrette. As an accompanying program, a guided tour through the Museum of Decorative Arts can be booked, or an organ concert in the palace church, followed by the three-course menu. Live music and cabaret are also possible.
