The historical signposted theme path follows the line of the former East-German border fortifications around West-Berlin. On more than 40 individual stops you can gain information about the construction and the collapse of the Wall with photos and informative texts.

In order for you to plan your cycling tour or your walk along the traces of the Berlin Wall better, the 160 km of total length of the Mauerweg are divided in 14 individual sections. The starting and end points of these sections are well-connected to the public transport means. Along the inner city part of the Mauerwek, the permanent exhibition ”Geschichtsmeile Berliner Mauer” (History Mile Berlin Wall) provides special information.
