The 10 best boat tours in Berlin
More than 180 kilometres of waterways, idyllic canals, wide lakes and the Spree running right through the city make Berlin a paradise for everyone drawn to the water. These ten tours show the capital from a different perspective. On the dinner cruise aboard the MS Der Fliegende Hollaender you glide through Charlottenburg and Mitte over a multi-course menu, while the historic HEMINGWAY, a restored salon ship from 1908, casts off in Moabit. If you like the green east, you can take your time for the great lake tour around the Mueggelberge, and the boat tour on the Landwehrkanal and the Spree links Mitte, Kreuzberg and Tiergarten. The World Heritage cruise leads all the way to Potsdam across the Havel. Which route do you want to discover next?
Yulia Veksler
Experiencing Berlin from the water is, for me, one of the loveliest ways to get to know this city anew. For this list I travelled on the Spree, the Havel and the Berlin lakes, from the classic bridge tour through the government quarter to longer trips towards the Wannsee. I paid attention to routes, sights, the atmosphere on board and the quality of the live commentary. Ahoy!
