Wall Museum at Checkpoint Charlie

Wall Museum at Checkpoint Charlie

Right in front of the door of the museum is the former Checkpoint Charlie. Inside it is all about the creative ways of people wanting to flee from East Germany and the border fortifications of that time.

An original spring gun from the Berlin Wall is on display and a model setup explains the security measures taken at the Wall.

Of special interest is the documentation of escape devices used: suitcases, cable rollers, flying devices and even cars can be seen in the exhibition.
