Biosphäre Potsdam: jungle instead of grey skies

The Biosphäre Potsdam is a tropical experience world on the outskirts of Berlin, where summer temperatures prevail 365 days a year. Over 20,000 tropical plants and numerous exotic animals transform the hall in Volkspark into a world of its own.

The tour begins at the waterfall, leads along winding paths past the butterfly house through the underwater world, and ends on the canopy walkway in the crowns of trees up to 14 meters high. Hourly tropical thunderstorms with thunder and lightning create atmosphere, and the humidity does the rest.

More than just plants

The house sees itself as a learning place and brings the rainforest closer in a playful way, with guided tours and workshops for school classes and groups. In the butterfly house, exotic butterflies snack on fresh fruit and fly very close to guests, while the Aquasphäre creates the impression of a submarine ride.

The program changes regularly, from rainforest adventures and egg hunts in the jungle to brunch under palm trees. From Berlin Central Station, the journey by train takes about 30 minutes, and parking spaces are available at Volkspark.
