For over 20 years, the Yachtcharter Werder team has ensured that boat holidays are not just for old sea dogs. The fleet consists of over 25 stylishly equipped Dutch steel yachts, which – very Berlin-like – can be driven without a license. A short crash course on site, and you’re already sailing off with your newly acquired charter certificate, heading towards Müritz, Potsdam, or right through the capital. Particularly charming: The yachts are small apartments on the water, with a kitchen, heating, wet room, and all the trimmings. Depending on the model, there’s even TV – although the view of reeds, sunsets, and calm water is usually quite enough.
We tried it out: With the wind in your hair and a steaming coffee on deck, even Monday morning suddenly feels like a holiday. The atmosphere on board is decelerated, almost meditative, and at the same time, every bend holds a little spirit of discovery. And if you don’t want to return to the hustle and bustle after the trip, you can extend your stay for another night in the lovely holiday apartments directly at the harbor.
