Stand Up Paddling on the Havel, right in Spandau: The SUP Center Berlin on Eiswerder Island is the perfect place for anyone who wants to experience Berlin from the water in beautiful weather. Rentals, courses, yoga, and XXL boards make this spot the top choice for watersports activities in the capital.

Stand Up Paddling Berlin: Get on the board, out onto the Havel

Eiswerder Island in Spandau is one of the most relaxed starting points for a sunny day on the water. High-quality SUP boards and XXL boards can be rented directly there, suitable for beginners, advanced paddlers, and groups alike. The SUP Center Berlin is more than just a simple rental station: Over 40 boards and paddles from the GTS brand are available in the rental and test station. This means you can thoroughly test them before buying. Memberships from Urban Sports Club, Wellpass, Machtfit, and Centrovital are accepted.

From its own jetty, you go straight onto the water. From there, you can leisurely paddle towards Spandau’s Old Town and discover green waterscapes. Berlin reveals itself from a side that you simply don’t know from cycling or walking.

SUP Courses, Yoga on the Water, and More

At SUP Center Berlin, it’s not just about simple board rental. SUP courses run every Thursday and Saturday, and the center also organizes events, birthdays, team building, and yoga retreats. This makes it particularly worthwhile for groups. The course for beginners and advanced paddlers includes top-quality GTS equipment, one hour of professional coaching, and an additional hour of free paddling on weekends. There’s also SUP Yoga, which combines balance, strength, and tranquility on the water. Yoga islands with eight moorings ensure that the course runs smoothly even with a larger group.

Canoes are also available, for one or two people, for a round trip around Eiswerder Island. On-site facilities include changing rooms, toilets, lockers, an outdoor event area, as well as cool drinks and tour tips. Everything you need for a long summer day on the water is here.
