Ice rink at the Center at Potsdamer Platz

From November 16, 2026, to January 10, 2027, a 600-square-meter real ice rink will be located under the dome of the Center at Potsdamer Platz. Skate rental and ice-skating aids are available on site, and a small Christmas market with eight stalls is attached. Thanks to the roofing, this ice rink in Berlin-Mitte is weather-protected and can be used well even in rain or snow.

Ice Rink at Center at Potsdamer Platz: Real Ice under the Glass Dome

The ice rink at the Center at Potsdamer Platz is part of the “Center on Ice” offer and brings 600 square meters of real ice under the glass roof of the former Sony Center. In the 2026/27 season, operations run from November 16, 2026, to January 10, 2027. The area is covered, so the weather plays no role in your visit. Under the well-known dome and with Christmas decorations, a backdrop is created that is reminiscent of the Rockefeller Center in New York.

From Potsdamer Platz S-Bahn and U-Bahn station, it’s just a few minutes’ walk to Potsdamer Straße 2, making the rink one of Berlin’s most central and easily accessible ice surfaces. Families, school classes, and guests from the surrounding area can get here without a long journey.

Christmas Market, Eight Stalls, and Ice Skating Aids for Beginners

The experience doesn’t end on the ice. There’s also a smaller Christmas market with eight stalls. These are operated by, among others, KERB Food Hall and Restaurant Monte Mente. The menus feature classics like sausages, crêpes, and churros, as well as other festive specialties. After a round on the ice, it’s just a few steps to the next stand.

Ice skating aids are available for beginners, helping children safely cover their first meters. Those who don’t have their own skates can simply rent them on site. In the evening, the lighting under the dome comes into its own particularly well. Skating times are allocated in fixed 80-minute slots, which is why advance booking is recommended.
