Very close to Leopoldplatz, a small community garden has emerged on a vacant lot, inviting people to join in gardening and self-harvesting. Anyone who feels like it can participate: young families, social institutions, or simply local residents.

The goal is to ecologically grow self-sufficient food like vegetables or fresh herbs. Primarily, regional and old cultivated varieties are planted and cared for. Motto: Neighborhood produce for self-harvesting!

At himmelbeet, very different people of all age groups meet for common gardening, building with recycled materials, cooking, and various workshops on topics such as environmental education and nutrition. A small garden café has emerged as a meeting point, where cultural activities also take place. For example, when the weather is nice, tango is danced!
