On the old open-air stage in Volkspark Friedrichshain, around 1,500 guests sit on benches with backrests, 300 more at bistro tables, plus a sunbathing lawn. Laser projection, an induction loop, and about 300 free fleece blankets are provided, and the programme ranges from cinema favorites and classics to original versions with subtitles.

The Film Park is located on Großbeerenstraße in Potsdam, right next to the world's oldest large studio, where films have been shot since 1912. It features around twenty attractions and four shows with stunt performers, pyrotechnicians, and animal trainers. In the TV studio, guests can step in front of the camera themselves, and an adult ticket costs 25 Euros online.

In the green area behind the Bethanien Art Quarter, approximately 300 deck chairs are set up under old trees, along with seat cushions and free fleece blankets. Arthouse films, international classics, and award-winning works are continuously shown here in original versions with German or English subtitles, and the access is wheelchair-friendly.

At the corner of Friedrichstrasse and Zimmerstrasse, there is now a reconstructed checkpoint booth, the sector sign, and the illuminated display with the two soldier portraits, along with an open-air exhibition. Around four million people visit each year, and from 2030 onwards, the square is to be redesigned with a pavilion and an observation deck.

The building at Platz der Luftbrücke is one of the largest in the world, and precisely these dimensions make it a recurring guest in cinema, from Billy Wilder to The Hunger Games. Tours start at the visitor center, last approximately two hours, and cost from 17.50 Euros, but the tour is not barrier-free, and rollators are not permitted.

Beneath the intersection at the ICC lies a pedestrian tunnel from the seventies with orange tiles, round columns, and cylindrical ceiling lights, which has never been modernized. Production teams book it more frequently than the Brandenburg Gate or the Reichstag, from The Bourne Conspiracy to Hanna and Don to Atomic Blonde.

Anyone who loves watching English films in their original language will love the cult cinema Odeon in Schöneberg!

Among other cultural-social institutions, Kulturfabrik Moabit houses the Filmrauschpalast as an independent art-house cinema.

Novels in all languages, audiobooks, specialist literature e.g. from the fields of computer science and natural sciences, as well as films and music of all genres - Dussmann, the large culture department store on Friedrichstraße, is a true mecca for culture enthusiasts!

On 16 hectares in Falkenberg, there is a complex made of exposed concrete with over two hundred individually shaped round columns, large water features, and a circular outdoor area of approximately 210 meters in diameter, housing fifteen dog pavilions. Dietrich Bangert designed it, and productions like Aeon Flux use it as ready-made futuristic architecture.

At Checkpoint Charlie, the asisi Panorama The Wall shows everyday life in divided Berlin in the 1980s across 900 square meters. From a four-meter-high platform, visitors look over the death strip to East Berlin, in a 1:1 scale, amidst dilapidated houses, punks, and border guards. German-German history is not explained here, but shown.

In the Filmhaus on Potsdamer Platz the Deutsche Kinemathek - Museum for Film and Television presents important collections from the history of film and television.

In the Ehrenhof on Stauffenbergstraße, Claus Schenk Graf von Stauffenberg and his co-conspirators planned the assassination attempt on Hitler, and here they were shot the very same night after its failure. Admission, public tours and the audio guide of the German Resistance Memorial Center are free, and scenes for Operation Valkyrie were filmed here.

IL KINO on Nansenstraße in Neukölln opened in 2014 in a vacant bakery and was Berlin's first new independent cinema in twenty-nine years. It shows international arthouse cinema in original versions, and you can bring wine and Italian food into the auditorium. For heartbreak, remember: Crying looks completely normal in the dark.

Today, the screen is located in the Atelier Gardens on Oberlandstraße, on the former Berliner Union-Film-Ateliers site at the edge of Tempelhofer Feld. Comfortable deck chairs await in front of the studio halls, showing independent cinema, current arthouse highlights, short films, documentaries, and festival specials, including special screenings.

Two Neo-Gothic brick towers, the yellow U1 train on the upper level, and the Spree river below form one of Berlin's most iconic cityscapes, with the East Side Gallery and the Spree riverbank right next door. The bridge became famous through Run Lola Run, and since then it has been a staple when a shot needs to be immediately recognizable as Berlin.

Hof Windlicht behind the Kulturfabrik on Lehrter Straße accommodates around 100 guests between old brick walls and the tracks of the long-distance railway. For over three decades, the volunteer association Filmrausch Moabit has been showing original versions with subtitles, its own series like Reel Love and Gamerausch, as well as surprise films with free admission.

Kino Intimes - the name of the small cinema in Friedrichshain says it all! With around 80 seats, it is one of the smallest cinemas in Berlin.

The World Clock, TV Tower, and the panel buildings of late GDR modernism form one backdrop above, while the tunnels and platforms below form another, which can be cordoned off and illuminated. Filming took place here for Good Bye Lenin, Flightplan, The Bourne Ultimatum, and Babylon Berlin, and the square is connected like almost no other.

Rum-soaked sugar cones and the classic film "Die Feuerzangenbowle" (The Fire-Tongs Punch) are the focus of the atmospheric Winter Film Festival in the Nikolaiviertel in Berlin-Mitte.

Around 2,700 concrete stelae stand on 19,000 square meters; beneath them, on 800 square meters, lies the Place of Information with the Rooms of Dimensions, Families, Names, and Places. Admission and access to the field of stelae are free. For a class trip to Berlin, this is the place where a number transforms into individual biographies.

At Hardenbergplatz in Charlottenburg, S-Bahn, U2 and U9 lines, regional trains, and a large bus station converge, along with the Zoo with its Elephant Gate, Kurfürstendamm, and Bikini-Haus. The station became famous through Christiane F., for which filming took place in and around the building in 1981, partly with amateur actors from the area.

In the backyard of Haus Schwarzenberg on Rosenthaler Straße, guests sit on comfortable chairs, some at small tables directly in front of the screen. Modern classics and current arthouse cinema are shown, consistently in English or with English subtitles, and the adjacent Bar Eschschloraque provides the courtyard with food and drinks.

A prefabricated building in Friedrichshain, not far from Ostbahnhof, where Paul lives in The Legend of Paul and Paula, the cult film by DEFA from 1973. Opposite was Paula's old building, which today houses a supermarket, and on Rummelsburger See are the Paul-and-Paula-Ufer along with the bench for lovers, where the scene with the freight barge was filmed.
