The Odeon is truly a unique cinema in Berlin! This small art-house cinema was the first cinema in Berlin to show films in English original version with subtitles! The Odeon has remained true to this line, exclusively presenting films as OV (Original Version) or OMU (Original with Subtitles) since 1958! Since 1985, predominantly English-language films have been shown in their original versions. This makes it interesting not only for film fans but also for students of English/American studies, expats, and native speakers.
The special cinema experience begins even before entering the movie theater: the nostalgic neon sign and the American-style billboard set the mood for a cozy evening, and in the foyer, you can find authentic popcorn and brownies.
