Feuerzangenbowle Im Nikolaiviertel Berlin

Rum-soaked sugar cones and the classic film "Die Feuerzangenbowle" (The Fire-Tongs Punch) are the focus of the atmospheric Winter Film Festival in the Nikolaiviertel in Berlin-Mitte.
Until New Year’s, the classic film “Die Feuerzangenbowle” (The Fire-Tongs Punch) and the corresponding drink are the focus of the Winter Film Festival in the Nikolaiviertel in Mitte. Around Nikolaiplatz, it becomes wintry and cozy, and the famous Rühmann cult film can be authentically enjoyed with a fire-tongs punch. There are also savory and sweet warm-ups like Swiss raclette or crêpes.
The classic film is shown three times daily until New Year’s, and on weekends, additional highlights invite visitors to the festival. On Family Sunday, at 2 PM in the early afternoon, there’s the “Flicker Hour for Families,” where popular children’s films are shown for free. While the adults enjoy a fire-tongs punch, children can drink non-alcoholic punch.
Every Sunday at 6 PM, “Die Herrn von der Tankstalle” (The Gentlemen from the Gas Station) sing, bringing hits from old UFA sound films to life with nostalgic charm. Martin Stange, Reinhard Neumann, and Peter Wieth captivate with catchy tunes like “Veronika, der Lenz ist da” (Veronika, Spring is Here), “ein Freund, ein guter Freund” (A Friend, a Good Friend), or “mein kleiner grüner Kaktus” (My Little Green Cactus).
The Winter Film Festival in the Nikolaiviertel takes place from mid-November until January fifth on Nikolaikirchplatz. It is open daily from 12 PM to 10 PM. Admission is free.
