Weihnachtsfeier im Engelbecken

Alpine coziness in the heart of Charlottenburg: Engelbecken on Lietzensee in Berlin offers seasonal home-style cooking with a Bavarian-Austrian touch, a no-frills ambiance, and a Christmas celebration that feels like an evening in a cozy inn.
Christmas Celebration at Engelbecken: Bavarian Warmth by Lietzensee
When thinking of Christmas parties, many first consider Mitte or Prenzlauer Berg. However, one of the most atmospheric addresses is located in Charlottenburg. Right by Lietzensee, Engelbecken serves homemade, modern, German, and seasonal cuisine with Alpine tendencies. The interior is simple and warm at the same time: bare wooden tables, subdued lighting, no annoying background music. This ensures that conversations at the table actually happen. Inside, subdued lighting creates a cozy, slightly romantic atmosphere. For a company Christmas party in Berlin or a festive dinner with a group, this is hard to beat.
In addition to classics like Wiener Schnitzel, roast pork, and homemade bratwurst, the menu also features daily changing seasonal dishes. In winter, the offerings are particularly well-suited: hearty, warming dishes. Engelbecken primarily uses organic certified meat and works closely with regional farmers and businesses. You can taste the difference.
Drink, Dine, Celebrate: What Makes Engelbecken Special
Of course, a Christmas dinner at the restaurant also includes the right drink. Various Bavarian beers like Tegernseer Hell, Allgäuer Büble, or Maxlrainer Dunkel come fresh from the tap, along with a good selection of open and bottled wines, preferably from Germany, Austria, and Italy. At Engelbecken, in addition to good artisanal preparation, the quality of the products used to prepare the dishes is paramount. You can taste this not only in the fine flavor. If you want to celebrate with a group, you should plan early: especially in winter, a table reservation is advisable. Engelbecken has attracted a loyal regular clientele for years, and tables are quickly booked, especially during Advent. A Christmas celebration at this Berlin restaurant becomes an evening that doesn’t feel forcedly festive, but simply really good.
