Cosmic Comedy Club Berlin

Berlin's oldest comedy club resides in Prenzlauer Berg: The Cosmic Comedy Club Berlin has been occupying a former savings bank on Schönhauser Allee for over two decades and is now the primary destination for English-language stand-up comedy and improv theater in the capital.
Cosmic Comedy Club Berlin: Laughter on Historic Ground
What was founded in 2001 as Berlin’s first comedy club has long been an integral part of the capital’s cultural scene. Since 2002, the club has resided in the premises of a former savings bank branch on Schönhauser Allee, and in the basement, you’ll find Berlin’s oldest preserved vault. This already gives the evening a unique architectural character. In 2022, the club was renamed Cosmic Comedy Club Berlin after Dharmander Singh and Neil Numb took over operations and completely focused the program on English.
Experienced comedians from Berlin and international acts present diverse sets in a showcase format, and the audience is explicitly invited to laugh, meet new people, and feel comfortable, regardless of age, origin, or gender. Particularly noteworthy is the diverse lineup with a high proportion of female artists.
Open Mic, Showcase, and Free Pizza
On Thursdays, the stage is open for aspiring comedians at the Open Mic, while on Fridays and Saturdays, the Showcase features the best of the international scene. As a bonus, free vegetarian and vegan pizza as well as free shots are offered on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Additionally, there are 2-for-1 drink deals before 20:00, with admission costing 13 Euros on Thursdays and 17 Euros for the Showcase on weekends. Because the improv theater audience in Berlin is becoming increasingly sophisticated, the Cosmic Comedy Club also relies on an international team that presents spontaneous theater scenes, with themes provided by the audience itself, without any genre limitations. In short: if you want to not just consume but also co-create comedy in Berlin, this is the right place.
