Berlin's oldest comedy club resides in Prenzlauer Berg: The Cosmic Comedy Club Berlin has been occupying a former savings bank on Schönhauser Allee for over two decades and is now the primary destination for English-language stand-up comedy and improv theater in the capital.

In Weißensee, where Pankow and Prenzlauer Berg meet, the Brotfabrik at Caligariplatz has existed for over 35 years as one of the last multi-genre venues of Berlin's independent scene. Since 2007, the Foxys have been considered long-form specialists in Berlin's improv theatre scene. In Friedrichshain's Theatrepool, dramas, comedies, and chamber plays are created spontaneously night after night, knowing no script or rehearsal. Spontaneity at the highest level.


In the heart of Pankow, on Florastraße, the "Zimmer 16" theatre is full of surprises: a cabaret stage where the improv theatre group "Im Freien Fall" performs completely freely and without a script every first Friday of the month. The audience decides what happens.
