Theaterkunst GmbH, located on Eisenzahnstraße, has been Germany's largest costume house since 1907, supplying film, television, and stage from a unique collection of this size.

The puzzle tour starts in Weinbergspark at Rosenthaler Platz and ends after eleven stations at the Berlin Wall Memorial. Schinkel's neoclassical jewel, towering over Gendarmenmarkt in Mitte, has been setting standards in Berlin's classical music scene as Konzerthaus Berlin since 1984. Chief Conductor Joana Mallwitz and the Konzerthausorchester Berlin guarantee top-tier symphonic music, while the program goes far beyond what is expected.

The Deutsches Theater in Berlin-Mitte is one of the most significant spoken theatre stages in the German-speaking world. Under artistic director Iris Laufenberg, classics and contemporary world premieres are combined on three stages to create a repertoire that addresses societal questions with high aesthetic ambition.

The Theater des Westens on Kantstrasse opened in 1896 to plans by Bernhard Sehring and combines a neo-baroque auditorium with a stage tower shaped like a medieval keep. The Coq au Vin children’s and family theatre plays circus pieces at the Pfefferberg in which acrobatics, comedy and theatre come together and the children are drawn into the action. A birthday begins with table time for cake and presents and goes on to the performance, with a treasure hunt in a simplified version for the youngest guests if you want one.

If you want to offer your children real action during the summer holidays, the Galli Theater is the right place. The small theater offers holiday courses in Berlin-Mitte, Dahlem, and Grunewald, where children can bring their own play to the stage in one week.

At Potsdamer Platz, a tiny, few-centimeter-tall chef cooks directly on the plate: Le Petit Chef combines 3D projection with a multi-course menu, transforming dinner into a show.

Renzo Piano's Theater am Potsdamer Platz opened in 1999, seats 1,754 guests, and has been home to Cirque du Soleil's first permanent European show since 2025. Behind the 35-meter-high glass facade lies the grand staircase, and every year during the Berlinale, the venue transforms into the Berlinale Palast, the main screening location for the film festival.

In the backyard of Cuvrystraße in Kreuzberg lies the Ratibor Theater: Berlin's premier address for improvisation theater, home stage of the Gorillas, and for decades a meeting point for the national and international improv scene.

The Wintergarten Varieté on Potsdamer Straße continues a name that began on Friedrichstraße in 1888, where it hosted the world's first commercial film screening in 1895. The current venue opened in 1992, accommodates nearly 500 guests, and presents its own productions of acrobatics, music, and comedy in a hall with a starry sky.

Located at Südstern in Kreuzberg, a collection of over 5,000 pieces offers everything from Baroque to disco glam, serving professional film and theater productions as well as individuals seeking the perfect look.

Located in the Tiergarten, between the Chancellery and the House of World Cultures, the Tipi am Kanzleramt has been home to Europe's largest stationary tent stage since 2002: 800 square meters, 480 seats, almost all at bistro tables under chandeliers. Chanson, cabaret, variety shows, and musicals are performed. For a variety evening in Berlin, this is the grand stage with a beer garden out front.

The silver dome on Prenzlauer Allee in Prenzlauer Berg is Berlin's window to space. The Zeiss Grand Planetarium is one of Europe's largest planetariums, captivating curious children and adults alike with its 360° fulldome experience, drawing them into the universe.

The Tipi am Kanzleramt, Europe's largest stationary tent stage, is located in the middle of the Großer Tiergarten, between the Federal Chancellery and the House of World Cultures. Guests sit almost exclusively at tables across 800 square meters, where food is served during the performance, and in front of the tent is a beer garden with a view of the Chancellery.

Showbühne Berlin occupies a Wilhelminian era building on Köthener Straße in Kreuzberg, a few minutes south of Potsdamer Platz. The hall can accommodate up to 199 guests with flexible seating, featuring Burlesque, GDR-Comedy, Tribute Shows, and the male revue SIXX PAXX. This is an unusually broad program for a variety theater in Berlin.

In a backyard in Prenzlauer Berg lies Berlin's most-played improv theater stage: BühnenRausch. Red velvet curtains, subdued lighting, and about 30 permanent improv groups make this place the go-to address for improvisation theater in the capital.

Located on Schiffbauerdamm in Mitte, the Berliner Ensemble stands for political contemporary theater with a rich Brecht history: a neo-baroque building, an international ensemble, up to 15 productions per month, and an occupancy rate that makes Berlin's theater scene look pale in comparison.

The Admiralspalast on Friedrichstraße was built in 1911 over an accidentally discovered brine spring and once united a thermal bath, ice palace, bowling alleys, and a cinema under one roof. Today, the listed building is a guest performance venue with around 1,600 seats, a preserved Emperor's Box, and original, hand-operated stage machinery.
