In Volkspark Hasenheide, on the border between Neukölln and Kreuzberg, there is an enclosed dog garden exclusively for small dogs: a maximum of 35 cm tall, a maximum of 15 kilograms in weight. The dog garden "Kleine Feiglinge" (Little Cowards) offers puppies and small breeds the space they need without larger companions dominating the power play.

Is your dog a tiny tot? Then the “Kleine Feiglinge” dog garden is its stage

Berlin with a dog often means compromises: overcrowded meadows, mixed dog parks, large companions who give small dogs no chance. Whoever always loses becomes suspicious and frustrated, immediately goes on the attack next time, and develops into a small yapper. The “Kleine Feiglinge” dog garden counteracts precisely this cycle.

The Kleiner Feigling dog playground is a dog park in Hasenheide explicitly aimed at small dogs: dogs larger than 35 cm or heavier than 15 kilograms are not welcome here. Here, even the little ones learn normal pack behavior and simply have fun.

Bigger than it looks, greener than expected

Due to the equality of opportunity during romping and jostling, only four-legged friends who barely exceed a school ruler and weigh less than 15 kilograms are allowed access to the approximately 500 square meter area. The place is more spacious than it looks from the outside and also well-vegetated, so the dog can discover a lot here. At the same time, there is plenty of space to romp, and a small area with equipment also allows for a small training session. Seating is available, and a small part is also covered.

Buy a key, get started

Access to the dog park is only possible with a key or if someone on the premises opens the gate. The key is available for a one-time fee of 20 Euros; beforehand, the dog garden can be tested free of charge as a guest. The guest key is available at Gaststätte Heide 11 (Hasenheide 11). The dog garden is best reached via the north-eastern entrance directly at the Jahndenkmal. Once you’ve been there, you won’t want to leave, as Volkspark Hasenheide is a popular park in the Neukölln district, especially well-visited during the warmer months. Thus, a visit to the dog garden can easily be combined with a walk through the park.
