Anchors aweigh - and live! That is the emblematic motto of the Dog Institute Berlin. Dog training at this innovative dog school departs from old dressage models.
And this is how the different kind of dog training works: Instead of approaching the dog with dressage and memorized commands like “Sit”, “Down”, “Stay”, here the dogs’ “vocabulary” is taught and learned by the owners. This way, the owner should be able to communicate with their canine companion in every situation.
Maike Maja Nowak gained a deep understanding of what these “vocabulary” words are used for and when, by living with a wild pack of ten dogs in Russia and through many observations of domestic dog groups in Germany. Her seminars and workshops are now widely known, and participants from many countries attend them. In 2012, Maja Nowak founded the association of Independents, Pioneers of Human-Dog Communication.

3-day dog owner seminars cost 349.00 Euros with a dog, 149.00 without a dog, 99.00 Euros for accompanying persons to the dog, children free. Weekly seminars, in which trainers are trained, cost 849.00 Euros. plus 5 Euros for catering (coffee, tea, cake, biscuits, bread, spreads, vegetables, fruit, water)
