DogCoach Institut

The DogCoach Institute has been operating in Detmolder Straße in Wilmersdorf since 2002, offering: individual one-on-one training, courses from basic obedience to mantrailing, trainer education, and therapy dog teams. Founder Enrico Lombardi also conducts the temperament test for Berlin and Brandenburg.

The DogCoach Institute on Detmolder Straße has been working with dogs and their humans since 2002. Founded by Enrico Lombardi and his wife Sandy, their approach is consistently individual: In an initial consultation, Lombardi gets to know the owner and dog, observes their interaction, and then puts together a training plan tailored precisely to this team. The focus is on deficits in social behavior.

In addition, there is an official task: Lombardi is an recognized expert for Berlin and Brandenburg and conducts the temperament test, which assesses the behavior of dogs in stressful everyday situations. Therefore, owners of “list dogs” (breeds designated as dangerous) and those seeking a dog handler’s license often come here.

From Dog Owner Courses to Therapy Dog Teams

The program extends far beyond classic training: training to become a dog trainer and dog sitter, advanced training to become a human-dog consultant, and specialization as a therapy dog team. Therapy dogs accompany people in clinics and nursing homes; as school dogs, they ensure a calmer learning atmosphere.

For everyday life, there are ongoing courses: Basic Obedience, Fitness Training, Agility Light, Trick School, DogDancing, Anti-Poison Bait Training, Retrieving, Object Search, and Mantrailing. A training session lasts 60 minutes and costs 85 Euros; five- and ten-session passes are relatively cheaper.
