At the FEZ in the Wuhlheide birthday groups shoot a film of their own: frame by frame in the animation studio with figures from the props store, or in the green box in front of a green wall with costumes and props. A GPS treasure hunt with puzzles through the woods of the Wuhlheide and a whole cinema hall with a film of the groups choosing come on top.
At the FEZ in the Wuhlheide
Kinderfilm Berlin sits at Strasse zum FEZ 2 and therefore in the middle of the FEZ in the Wuhlheide, by its own account the largest non-profit centre for children, young people and families in Europe. The Alice childrens museum, the orbitall space centre, a swimming hall, the Astrid Lindgren stage and a large outdoor area all lie around it, so a party combines easily with the rest of the day. Getting there works with the S3 to Wuhlheide and a walk of a good twelve minutes through the park, or with the tram to the stop Freizeit- und Erholungszentrum. Parking spaces are limited and charged for. Behind the offer stands a recognised provider of independent youth work whose guiding line leads from consuming to producing: children should not only watch films but make them. That includes the houses own programme cinema, which shows films for children, young people and families with an educational angle and seats up to a hundred and thirty-nine guests. Alongside birthdays there are school projects, workshops and the Berlin school cinema weeks.
Animation, green box, geocaching and a cinema of your own
Four birthday programmes are on offer at Kinderfilm Berlin. In the animation studio a stop motion film of your own takes shape from eight years with up to nine children in about two and a half hours, from the idea through the shoot at the trick boxes to the edit; the finished film can be downloaded at home afterwards, and all rights stay with the group. The green box works from nine years with up to ten children over roughly three hours in front of a green wall, with a costume store, props and a make-up table, where green clothing makes you invisible. For the geocaching, nine to twelve year olds head through the Wuhlheide with GPS devices and solve puzzles, in any weather. Anyone after something quiet books the cinema hall with a film of their choosing, agreed in advance. Prices depend on the size of the group and start at 100 euros for the geocaching and at 160 euros for the animation studio. Payment is in cash on site, reservations run through the form only, and confirmation can take up to fourteen days.

Price level animation studio

Price level cinema
The whole hall with a film of your choosing over two hours costs 60 euros for up to 25 people, with 2 euros per person on top from 26 people. The film is agreed in advance.
Discount
Families on basic income support, social assistance, housing benefit or child supplement get 25 percent off the booking, with proof brought along on the day.
Food and drink
Snacks and drinks may and should be brought along, as may your own film ideas, favourite figures with movable joints or a favourite costume.

Reservations run through the form only, where booked slots are greyed out. Confirmation can take up to fourteen days. Payment is in cash on site.
