Zimt & Zauber im Wintergarten Varieté

The Wintergarten Varieté presents the Berlin Christmas fairy tale “Zimt und Zauber 2018: Revolt of the Clocks – or when no one knows what time it is anymore” during Advent. The annual family program Zimt & Zauber has been performed for over 20 years at Christmas time. This year, the theme of time is explored playfully.

The clocks in Master Hobel’s clock shop are angry! They work incessantly, have no holidays, no vacations, no breaks, and no one thanks them. Even at Christmas, there’s no celebration or presents, let alone a Christmas tree. So the clocks decide to play a trick on people and all set themselves to the wrong time. Soon no one can say what time it really is.

However, it quickly becomes clear that life without an exact time is quite a disaster. For example, no one knows when the big New Year’s Eve fireworks, which the clocks also love so much, are supposed to start. They would therefore gladly undo everything. So a small delegation of clocks embarks on an adventurous journey to find the right time again. How it all ends is shown in the show by the child artists of CABUWAZI at the Berlin Wintergarten. Zimt & Zauber is created in collaboration with the Berlin children’s circus Springling by CABUWAZI and the Berlin Fairy Tale Days.

Zimt & Zauber is a popular family program and begins this year on November 25, 2018, running until January 2019.
