Restaurant Jolesch is probably the most authentic Austrian restaurant in Berlin-Kreuzberg with award-winning Wiener Schnitzel. Head chef Tobias Janzen, known for his creative streak and attention to detail, ensures that every schnitzel with wafer-thin, golden-brown breading has just the right amount of crispiness. From the classic Wiener schnitzel made from veal to a “Viennese-style” schnitzel made from regional Havelland apple pork to a vegetarian Portobello schnitzel with pumpkin seed breading – the wide range on the menu leaves nothing to be desired. There is even a vegan version with tempeh for conscious eaters. All schnitzels are also optionally available gluten-free.

But at Jolesch, it’s not just about the schnitzel, it’s about the overall experience. The warm, inviting atmosphere of the restaurant, where the fire crackles in the fireplace, invites you to enjoy and linger. The premises can also be booked for private parties or company events.

The restaurant manages to combine Austrian tradition with modern zeitgeist. Every dish, from boiled beef to Carinthian cheese noodles, is freshly prepared using regional and seasonal ingredients.Of course, hearty meals also need the right wine – and here the Jolesch offers an enormous selection of almost 400 Austrian wines in its own wine store, the largest selection outside of Austria.
