Prenzlauer Berg

The tiny restaurant MontRaw in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg offers Israeli-Mediterranean inspired fine dining tapas-style dishes.

You can tell by entering the small but fine restaurant MontRaw, with its many low-hanging lampshades and fairy lights, that the emphasis of the restaurant is placed on a cozy atmosphere during dinner. The bright, friendly MontRaw is also comfortably furnished with wooden design furniture and a central bar. The restaurant is small, there are only a few tables and it was very popular in the neighborhood shortly after its opening in January 2018 and is therefore always well crowded. For warmer days there is a terrace outside the restaurant.

The MontRaw serves an Israeli-Mediterranean cuisine. Following the name of the restaurant a variety of dishes are raw, but not all of them. The menu is varied and creative. There are small tapas-style dishes to share with a group of friends at the table. In addition to vegetarian eggplant bruschetta or beet fennel salad there are also meat and poultry dishes such as lamb and duck as well as variations of seafood in the form of shrimps and octopus. The individual dishes are creatively-modern inspired, refined with notes of chili, lime, coriander, tarragon or cumin. Also pasta such as the Fisher pasta with anchovies and fish broth or Gnocchi Parisienne with cherry tomatoes, rocket and white wine are to be found in the menu. The tapas-style dishes are accompanied by an extensive selection of organic wines. The desserts such as mascarpone cream with fruits or Rons Malabi, rose water pudding, are a special highlight here.
