On Hohenzollerndamm in Wilmersdorf, Genazvale offers Georgian cuisine that could hardly be more traditional: rustic wooden ambiance, steaming Khinkali, and shashliks made according to old recipes. Anyone looking for Caucasus cuisine in Berlin will end up here sooner or later.

Georgian Hospitality on Hohenzollerndamm

The restaurant is lovingly decorated with wood and murals and even offers an introduction to the tradition of the Georgian feast by a table leader, the so-called Tamada. This gives the evening a warmth rarely found in Berlin. If you come by car, you’ll find parking spaces just under 260 meters away at Fehrbelliner Platz, and the subway station is even only 181 meters away. The location is therefore extremely convenient. Additionally, it’s good to know: only cash is accepted at the restaurant.

Genazvale: Khinkali, Shashlik, and Georgian Wine

In addition to shashliks, the Georgian restaurant offers a wide range of Georgian classics, including dough dishes, fish and meat specialties, and a selection of vegetarian dishes. The appetizers are particularly worthwhile: the mixed appetizers, for example, with beetroot mousse, spinach mousse, stuffed paprika rolls, and eggplant rolls, are regularly very well received by guests. For a larger group, the Mtsvadi Mix „Genazvale‟ is highly recommended, a colorful mix of skewers, which is only available by pre-order. Of course, Georgian wine pairs well with this; the house wine is described as excellent by regular guests. Prices are mid-range, but the portions are generous. So, if you come hungry, you’re pretty much guaranteed to go home full at Genazvale.
