In the listed Kant-Garagenpalast on Kantstraße, Berlin's most ambitious gastro-cultural house has opened: Dufte Berlin unites four restaurant concepts, bars, a bakery, and a beer garden under one roof, making it one of the most exciting new additions among Charlottenburg's beer gardens.

Dufte Berlin: Beer Garden in the Former Garage Palace

The Kant-Garagenpalast is no ordinary place. For almost nine decades, cars drove in and out here. Since spring 2026, people are instead enjoying pasta and fresh draft beer on the ground floor. Across approximately 1,000 square meters of interior space plus 300 square meters of terrace, four independent kitchens, two bars, a café, a gallery, and a multifunctional event space are distributed. But the heart of it all lies in the back area: the sunny beer garden, where you can let the afternoon pass by with tacos, Levantine cuisine, or fresh pasta in hand. And the location is perfect: KaDeWe and Gedächtniskirche are reachable in a few minutes, Savignyplatz is around the corner, and bus and train stop right outside the door.

Four Kitchens, Three Bars, and a Relaxed Atmosphere

The culinary backbone of the establishment consists of four open kitchens, operated by established Berlin restaurateurs, plus its own bakery, as well as cocktail, wine, and beer bars. Dufte deliberately foregoes classic table service. Guests pick up their food themselves, wander between the stalls, and eventually end up in the beer garden. This very approach ensures movement, interaction, and a pleasantly unstrained atmosphere. What connects all concepts: The ingredients come from small, independent producers; products from large corporations do not make it onto the plate here. So, if you’re sitting with a beer and wondering where the hummus comes from: from someone the chefs know personally. A Berlin beer garden could hardly be set up more beautifully. The kitchens are open Tuesdays to Thursdays from 11:30 to 22:00, and Fridays and Saturdays until 23:00.
