Visitors undertaking weekend excursions into the countryside can experience a lot in Brickyard Mildenberg. The exhibitions in the brickyard contain authentic historical venues such as a forge where formerly bricks were fired. Guests can experience how people lived and worked back in the old days. Visitors can take a ride with an original train that once transported brick to get an overview of the park. A train ride can also be taken in the beautiful lakeland scenery.
On the adventure playground children have plenty of space to play and run. The picnic area offers space to relax and have a chilled-out BBQ. BBQ-accessories can be reserved in the park in advance. Those wishing to explore the Tonstichlandschaft by bike can rent bikes on site. Events are offered throughout the year such as a Wedding Fair in January or the Märkisches Dampfspektakel in early May. There is also an own app of the Brickyard Park that supports a virtual scavenger hunt on the grounds of the Park.
Opened in 1997, the Brickyard Mildenberg allows its visitors to explore one of the most important industrial cultural sites in Europe. When founded the “brickyard area Zehdenicker” was the largest in Europe producing billions of bricks. Most of Berlin and much of the Mark were built from those bricks.
During school holidays in Brandenburg on Easter, in summer or autumn, the brickyard park offers exciting holiday programs for school children.
