The historic gateway to Bürgerpark Pankow alone with the fountain right behind it is inviting and cozy. The park, crossed by the river Panke, is extremely beautiful in the style of an Italian Renaissance garden.
Especially the rosarium in the more distant part of the park is great for having a romantic picnic. If you don’t bring any food, you can visit the restaurant Rosengarten Pankow in the Bürgerpark, have a beer there or enjoy asparagus dishes. Jazz concerts sometimes take place in the Bürgerpark on weekends.
Further family-friendly details are a children’s playground with splash pool, a hidden aviary with pheasants, peacocks and an enclosure with goats.
