Minicity Kindercafé
The Minicity Children's Café in Friedenau is explicitly designed for children aged one to six, and the play world is built exactly for that: child-sized houses, a ball pit, and a costume corner. Celebrations are held with five pre-made packages per child, from a decorated table to a menu with ice cream and cake. Adults do not pay admission for a celebration.
A Children’s Café on Hauptstraße in Friedenau
The Minicity Children’s Café is located at Hauptstraße 73 in Friedenau, the quiet district between Schöneberg and Steglitz, which was established as a country house colony in the late 19th century and still boasts wide streets and front gardens. Hauptstraße is the commercial hub of the district, and the neighborhood suits the clientele: right next door, a children’s shop sells second-hand clothing, and bakeries, small shops, and cafés line the surroundings. The Friedenau Ringbahn station is within walking distance, and the bus stops at Rubensstraße right in front of the door. Inside, everything is designed for a height under one meter twenty. The play world consists of child-sized houses, including a fire station, a shop, and a candy station, plus a ball pit, a costume corner, and a reading nook. For the very youngest, there is a dedicated changing room, a nursing area, and high chairs, and the toys are cleaned daily. Food is cooked in-house and without fat. Strollers, bicycles, and balance bikes remain outside, keeping the indoor space clear.
Five Packages and a Themed Table
According to its own statement, the concept of Minicity Children’s Café is designed for children aged one to six, making it one of the few places in the city where even a second birthday gets a proper program. Celebrations are offered in five packages, charged per child, each including two hours of playtime. The smallest starts at 16 Euros and includes a drink, a children’s table decorated according to the theme, and a photo wall; the largest is 39 Euros and additionally provides a warm meal, a scoop of Italian ice cream, and a themed cake. There are separate options for small groups of up to five children, while larger groups have a limit of twenty people. Adults do not pay admission for a celebration. Upon request, a balloon garland, face painting, or supervision can be added. Outside food is not allowed, but you can bring your own cake for a flat fee. No entry without non-slip socks; street shoes stay outside, and the café provides slippers for adults. Those who come outside of a celebration pay a low single-digit amount for the first hour and only a small additional charge for each subsequent hour.
