At the candle workshop Fuer & Flamme in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg, you can not only buy a large number of high-quality handmade candles, but you can also make or decorate candles yourself in the workshop, a fun activity for all ages, which is also very popular for children’s birthdays.

Large vats of colorful wax and a wick that is repeatedly dipped: Candle making at the workshop works on the onion principle, is child’s play, and is fun even for the very youngest. Once enough combustible material adheres to the wick, the raw candle can still be decorated with patterns, marbled, and artistically twisted. For this special birthday experience, however, you should bring patience and sufficient time. Candle making takes approx. one to two hours.

Since the onion method used here creates completely dyed candles, the burning time of the self-made wax artworks is particularly long. During the Christmas season, the cozy shop is open longer.

Due to great interest in candle making before Christmas, advance registration is recommended from October. Children’s birthdays at the candle workshop must generally be registered.
