THEATER AN DER PARKAUE - Junges Staatstheater Berlin is the largest state theater for young people in Germany! The theater has three stages with a total of more than 600 seats.

It offers a wide range of themes: the great classics and premieres, more experimental forms, myths from bygone days, and fairy tales that have been translated and rewritten.

THEATER AN DER PARKAUE aims to make theater interesting for children, teenagers, and young adults by presenting plays in a lifelike manner. This means representing the opinions and interests from the perspective of the young audience. The 67th season starts in September 2016. Performances take place at the Prater in Kastanienallee (Prenzlauer Berg), Stage 3 at the Theater an der Parkaue (Lichtenberg), Kulturhaus Karlshorst, and the Tischlerei of the Deutsche Oper Berlin. In the 67th season, visitors can look forward to 15 premieres and approximately 25 repertoire pieces.

With its many productions, the Theater an der Parkaue is popular in the national and international theater scene for young audiences.

Attention: Stage 1 and Stage 2 (Parkaue 29, 10367 Berlin) are being renovated. For this reason, no performances will take place there. Re-opening will be celebrated in the 2017/18 season. However, Stage 3, completed in 2015, is already in use.
