ATZE Music Theater is located in the middle of Wedding, very close to Beuth University, and is considered Germany's largest music theater for children.
Atze was founded in 1985 as a band project and then established itself as a music theater. Today, it is Germany’s largest music theater for primary school-aged children – with over 100,000 spectators annually in Berlin.
Pippi Longstocking has already performed on the Atze stage in Berlin-Wedding. Fairy tale themes such as Mother Hulda or the Town Musicians of Bremen repeatedly appear here, as do children’s book classics like “Emil and the Detectives”.
ATZE is a theater not just for children, but for the entire family from 5 to 99 years old. It has received the coveted Berlin Theater Award IKARUS multiple times for outstanding productions, e.g., for the play “Spaghettihochzeit”.
