At the Komische Oper for Children in Behrensstraße in Berlin-Mitte, opera is experienced as an adventure, because the first encounter with musical theater should be as fascinating as possible for young audiences. Young guests also use the offerings with growing enthusiasm: 30,000 children and young people take advantage of the Komische Oper’s children’s and youth program every season. A popular piece, for example, is ”The Canterville Ghost” or Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tales as a cheerful satirical singspiel!
