High above the rooftops of Tiergarten, Golvet sits on the eighth floor of the Loeser & Wolff House on Potsdamer Straße: Berlin's most famous Michelin-starred restaurant with panoramic views combines precise Michelin-level cuisine with a 360-degree view stretching from the Philharmonie to the Reichstag.

View at the Highest Level

GOLVET simply means “the floor” in Swedish – yet it is located 32 meters above Berlin, on the eighth floor at Potsdamer Platz. Those who snag a table here get more than just dinner. The panorama stretches from the State Library across the sprawling Tiergarten to the Reichstag, the Neue Nationalgalerie, and the Sony Center. To truly highlight this, the minimalist interior has been consistently kept dark, allowing the view to take center stage. If you get a terrace table in summer, you should calmly schedule your reservation just before sunset – Berlin’s long summer days ensure that the view and meal perfectly coincide.

Furthermore, Golvet is not just a viewing restaurant. Street art has found its permanent place here: Nine street artists have left their mark in the Michelin-starred restaurant, where their works meet precise cuisine and minimalist interiors. This creates an atmosphere that perfectly captures Berlin.

GOLVET: Michelin-Starred Cuisine with Character

Since 2017, GOLVET has been awarded a Michelin star every year. Today, Executive Chef Nicholas Hahn, most recently honored as Berlin Master Chef 2025, stands behind the stove, known for a modern, clear cuisine with an uncompromising focus on taste. He employs techniques such as smoking, fermentation, and drying to elicit new and surprising flavor dimensions from the ingredients. The result is menus that move far beyond the conventional. Currently, the grand menu costs 279 Euros for nine courses.

If you haven’t managed to get a dinner reservation, you don’t have to miss out on Golvet. At the bar, you can experience the concept of “Cuisine Bartending” – exceptional signature drinks paired with the spectacular view over Berlin. Either way, a detour to Potsdamer Straße is well worth it.
